2026 Subaru Solterra Pricing Revealed: Here’s What the Electric SUV Costs

Share

Despite enhanced range and increased power, the 2026 Subaru Solterra’s MSRP remains the same as its outgoing predecessor

Subaru’s first-ever fully electric vehicle, the capable Solterra, received a significant refresh for its 2026 model year, gaining desirable features such as NACS charging, increased range and power, and more standard equipment. Last month, I had the opportunity to test the all-new 2026 Subaru Solterra through the gruelling forest service roads outside of Denver, Colorado, and was thoroughly impressed with its ability to maintain much of Subaru’s signature DNA despite lacking the once-obligatory Boxer engine. Now, Subaru has released official pricing details for its updated EV crossover.

For its 2026 model year, the Subaru Solterra is based on a fully redeveloped platform, while retaining its standard dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup with improved power distribution optimization in both wet and dry conditions. The Solterra’s suspension and electric power steering have also been enhanced to improve handling and responsiveness, and available power has increased massively in both standard and XT trim packages. Below is an official breakdown of the pricing for each respective powertrain. Note that non-XT trim packages pack a 233-horsepower punch, while XT trims benefit from a more potent 338-horsepower rating. Solterra’s premium trim offers up to 288 miles of range, whereas other trims offer up to 278 miles of range.

Destination & Delivery is $1,450 for Solterra and may vary in the following states: CT, HI, MA, ME, NH, NJ, NY, RI, and VT. D&D is $1,600 for retailers in Alaska.

Final thoughts

Considering its significant upgrades, including enhanced range and improved power figures—not to mention improved styling and available features—the fact that the 2026 Subaru Solterra’s base MSRP remains the same as its outgoing predecessor is a true testament to Subaru’s commitment to making EVs affordable. In fact, the Solterra Limited is actually priced $600 lower than last year’s equivalent trim. If that doesn’t prove that Subaru has made a solid effort to enhance the affordability of their first-ever EV crossover, then I’m not quite sure what will. Regardless, the Solterra is perhaps more competitive than it’s ever been in its segment for 2026, and its updated pricing—as well as its updated specs and features—are indeed a step in the right direction.
